SpaceX Falcon 9 nails launch and landing on record-tying flight

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket flew for a record-tying 13th time on Thursday morning (July 7) in a flawless launch.

A Falcon 9 topped with 53 of SpaceX’s starlink internet satellites lifted off at 9:11 am EDT (1311 GMT) on Thursday from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. About 8.5 minutes after liftoff, the Falcon 9’s first stage came back to Earth for a touchdown on the SpaceX droneship Just Read the Instructions stationed in the Atlantic Ocean off the Florida coast.
