Hogwarts Legacy DLC and early access details leak on official website

Details of Hogwarts Legacy DLC packs and different editions of the game, including an early access period, have been uncovered on the upcoming RPG’s official website.

As discovered by u/opalelement on Reddit, viewing the Hogwarts Legacy website’s source code reveals a list of eight items that are presumably DLC and/or pre-order bonuses. There are also references to a ‘Digital Only’ and ‘Digital Deluxe Only’ which suggests there will be at least two versions of the game at launch.

Hogwarts Legacy pre-order bonuses and editions leak

The leak lists the following DLC packs/extras:

  • Thestral Mount
  • Dark Arts Cosmetic Pack
  • Dark Arts Battle Arena
  • Dark Arts Garrison Hat
  • 72 Hours Early Access
  • Kelpie Robe
  • Steel Case
  • Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book

Unfortunately, we don’t have any information on what these items might be, and the leak also doesn’t mention which items will be included with the ‘Digital Only’ and ‘Digital Deluxe Only’ editions. What’s interesting here is that developer Avalanche has previously stated there are no in-game purchases or micro-transactions in Hogwarts Legacy, so if the developer is sticking to that then the Thestral Mount, Dark Arts Cosmetic Pack, Dark Arts Battle Arena, Dark Arts Garrison Hat, and Kelpie Robe will have to be pre-order bonuses or extra content included with the Digital Deluxe Only edition.

Fans and u/opalelement speculate that the Steel Case (possibly a Steelbook case) and Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book will be physical items as opposed to in-game items. As for the 72-hour early access, this will be for those Harry Potter superfans who pre-order the game, though it’s unclear if this will just be reserved again for the Deluxe Edition.

As always, things like this could change in the run-up to release, so take this information with a pinch of salt until we get official confirmation.
